Testimonials
Solutionists…
impact on global business leaders.
"I had the opportunity to work with Sanjeeb on his last major project at TI which was a tremendous success. We were able to streamline and transform our customer support centers. Sanjeeb is a dedicated and detail oriented professional and has a commitment for quality excellence as was demonstrated on the last project we worked together."
"Sanjeeb oversaw all aspects of the project and his technical expertise was integral in working through the supplier selection and negotiation process to achieve the best possible results. He is a strategic thinker and has the ability to adapt quickly in an ever changing global, competitive environment."
"I met Sanjeeb when he joined the board of the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas (HRI). At the time I was the Chair and I already knew his name because he led a group of professionals from InterNations in hosting a career fair to benefit and educate HRI’s clients who were entering the job market. Even before he was a board member, he was an ambassador for the cause."
Once he joined the board, Sanjeeb immediately started asking questions that demonstrated outside-the-box, critical thinking skills and a desire to immediately roll up his sleeves and add value. He is never afraid to have tough conversations but does it in a way that makes other people feel heard, valued and appreciated. Few people have the ability to think “big picture” and understand all of the details necessary to implement high level plans, but Sanjeeb can and does. He showed this very early-on when he identified a possible fundraising opportunity and then broke it down into baby steps with target dates and tasks for each of the key stakeholders. The result was Human Rights Day DFW which is now an annual tradition for HRI and a major source of new donors and awareness for the cause. Sanjeeb’s leadership has been crucial to HRI during a time when the organization needed someone with his wisdom, leadership and clarity of purpose.
Sanjeeb didn’t only add value by doing. He also added value by making those around him better, too. I say this on a personal level because Sanjeeb took the time to understand my role, my goals, my struggles, and to be a resource, a sounding board, and a champion for me. He helped me obtain my own clarity of purpose so that I could accomplish more for myself and for HRI. I watched him do the same for other directors and officers as well. To me, this is precisely what a real leader does.
“I have worked with Sanjeeb on a very critical transition project. As the vendor supporting him for this project, Sanjeeb never made us feel outsiders and from day one made everyone feel we are extended team members of TI that allows us to better collaborate with him and his team.”
He is a team player, he knows what he wants to achieve for the transition project, yet he listened to ideas and allowed us to execute them. He is direct, yet always remains calm and professional on all conversations. He is involved and made sure he knows each team member, which is a unique quality of Sanjeeb from all of the clients I have worked with. He understands the dynamics of BPO that allowed effective execution of roles and responsibilities during the transition project.
Thank you, Sanjeeb. It was a pleasure working with you.
It is my pleasure to extend this reference on behalf of Sanjeeb Samanta. I was introduced to him as a Outsourcing and Transformation Consultant when a South American technology corporation that had been in business for thirty years became one of my clients.
I wanted to do well so he became my coach. I leaned on him for his expertise in outsourcing and organization strategy and he delivered in a big way! He was thorough in the research and the strategies he proposed. He engaged appropriate industry experts to vet the recommendations and the end product was very successful. The fact that the specific country I was focused on was not one he had worked with, was not apparent. His techniques in problem solving and consulting are very versatile and generate really good results.
Sanjeeb is a thoughtful and prepared leader. He immediately became one of the most impactful mentors I have had. He is diligent in his service and treasures the people he associates with. Part of his secret is his extraordinary ability to be the perfect combination between a brilliant technology expert and a savvy people person with great respect for the human element in complex technological settings. Even
though the topic we covered was intermediate level compared to his professional background, it was always delivered with dedication and personal involvement. Inside-out, he carries himself with humility and heroism as needed. A wonderfully rooted, traveled, experienced person. Sanjeeb is an acute listener, without airs who treats everyone with respect.
Well-versed in organizational transformation from within, generous with his knowledge and clear with his communication style. He understands the evolution of technology and the world we live in today. He has the reach and contacts to bring your organization to the next level. He is an asset for any long-standing operation interested in change and innovation while maintaining their reputation. I am confident he will be a valuable enterprise transformation expert, for he can be an excellent role model and one with which collaborators would enjoy spending time, be inspired by and most importantly continue to learn from. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you need more information.
“Over the last twenty years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Sanjeeb in numerous situations within and outside TI. My role as an executive coach of c-level/senior leaders enables me to more clearly appreciate Sanjeeb’s unique mix of tangible and intangible qualities.”
“What stands out first about Sanjeeb, is his utter uncompromising integrity – combined with a totally selfless approach to success. A willingness to compromise on the things that make outcomes more effective – while keeping 100% honest - not just for himself – but also for the teams he leads. He derives no greater pleasure than having someone on his team, in his organization, or within the wider circle, succeed. It truly is about making others, and the organization, more effective. It is never about himself.
Second, I am always impressed by the way Sanjeeb can connect seemingly disparate dots across disciplines that span both technical and behavioral competencies. Many years ago, I had a personnel issue, perceiving a mutual colleague’s behavior to be invasive, disrespectful, and immature. When I sought his advice, Sanjeeb broke it down utilizing a deceptively simple and brilliant framework. “All people have a normal distribution” he explained. “When you normalize this person’s behavior relative to this specific incident – is it an outlier or within the ‘bell curve?”. My view on the situation suddenly became very clear. It is, quite simply, a brilliant way to analyze and understand human interactions.
Finally, a really engaging quality that wins Sanjeeb deep relationships and trust is his relatability. He takes time to establish connections in every engagement.”
“I have known Sanjeeb for over ten years, originally meeting as an external partner providing his team top talent. His insight and thoughtfulness are only exceeded by his ability to see past existing processes and protocols to formulate new and better value driven business solutions. I developed great respect for his insights and willingness to address change or opportunity that provide critical value to everyone involved.”
“An unprecedented experience I had, is when he came up with an out-of-the-box business model that would allow his company and mine to change how we engage yet achieve a significant win-win. It was clear he had given it a lot of thought, had run all the traps internally (where we all know, is where most ideas get declined later in the process), and had been very deliberate to ensure that the individuals on the team, his company, and ours would all have a short and long term positive outcome. He then allowed us to assess the model and make appropriate adjustments to it. While he kept the conversation going and stayed very focused on how the model was evolving, he showed openness to ideas and sensitivity to concerns. As we worked through this, he proactively reached out to the other partners involved to negotiate the transition in such a way that no individual was impacted even though the partners were not being renewed. This demonstrated a very high level of care, that he has for his people on his team. He also did it in a very sensitive and professional manner, that showed a lot of respect for all involved in the process.
Over the years, Sanjeeb has always worked with us as a partner company, as if we were an extension of his team and never cared about whether we were part of his company or a partner company. He established very sound relationships with my leadership team and over time, has also made himself available when industry perspective was needed by my company or others.”
“As the organizer of the women’s professional squash event, the Texas Open, Sanjeeb has been a driving force for the advancement of squash. He has successfully secured sponsorship for the bi-annual tournament through his dedication, vision and hard work within the local squash community, attracting the world’s best players thanks to the incredible hospitality and tournament experience he provides.”
“Sanjeeb is always willing to go the ‘extra mile’; he has kindly offered pro bono mentorship to players and provided strategic input and insight for Professional Squash Association (PSA) and the PSA’s charity, the PSA Foundation. His commitment, approachable nature and expertise within sport organization and wider business, make Sanjeeb a pleasure and asset to work with.”
“As I think of Sanjeeb, there are three words that come to mind: Mentor, Inspirational, Empathetic.”
“1. Mentor - from the time I was a new student starting my MBA journey, to helping me think through internship options, to brainstorming options for that all elusive job in a terrible economy, Sanjeeb was always there - with a wise word at the right time!
2. Inspirational - Sanjeeb is inspirational - as a leader, as a mentor and as a humanitarian. His work, guidance and time spent with students is well known, and I for one, experienced it first hand. While he was very successful in his real job, I also had the opportunity to see him excel at the DSRA (Dallas Squash Racquets Association) during his years at the helm, including event planning, marketing, fund generation - all with a calm mind and demeanor.
3. Empathetic - A living embodiment of this word, Sanjeeb’s most recent action here was exemplary. Given the recent student fund cancellations due to COVID-19, Sanjeeb was able to put himself in their shoes and acted immediately! He took it upon himself to contact the University and set up a fund to help those students - including doing the work to solicit contributions to this fund! It’s important to know that no one asked him for help - it was all self driven - well, that’s Sanjeeb!
Simply said, Sanjeeb is one of the finest human beings I have had the privilege to know, learn from and really have as a role model for the many tough situations that life brings your way!”
“I worked with Sanjeeb from the other side of the table. Sanjeeb was the vendor manager and I managed the outsourcing service delivery for TI.”
“Sanjeeb is one of the most professional vendor management leaders that I have ever worked with. He had demonstrated very thorough strategic planning yet never lack of insights of any details. It was also quite impressive of his insights into BPO industry, program/project management skills, and overall leadership. He applied all while doing business with us. While it was obvious that he guarded the maximum benefits for TI, he was well poised by the principals and always on the exploration of mutual benefits and opportunities. It made business with TI and Sanjeeb a pleasant experience throughout Infosys' all level of stakeholders who had crossed path with him.”
I was first introduced to Sanjeeb Samanta by Dr. Brian McAulay who was a fellow college president. He had met Sanjeeb at a civic event several years before and thought he might be a valuable resource for me when I first moved to Dallas in 2020.
I have had the privilege of working with Sanjeeb for the past four years. In my role as Assistant Vice-President of Professional and Continuing Education for Collin College, I have utilized Sanjeeb’s expertise for our organizational development and training, executive coaching, continuous improvement and organizational change management consulting clients.
I have participated in many client meetings with Sanjeeb and have always been impressed with his ability to engage the audience regardless of whether they are operations technicians or executives from the C-suite. Sanjeeb has a unique ability to listen, restate main concepts for validation, and then reframe the conversation into a problem statement along with a variety of solutions that had not previously occurred to the organizational leadership. He is highly perceptive and works from a comprehensive toolkit to form solution frameworks grounded in realism.
Sanjeeb also shows great versatility and adroitness in the classroom. I was observing Sanjeeb in a class on new leader assimilation. Sanjeeb had meticulously prepared for our five-hour session. After a round of icebreakers and introductions, Sanjeeb queried the class on current problems that they are all dealing with within their organization. This is normal practice for Sanjeeb so that he might customize his presentation in real-time to the topics that are most top-of-mind for his audience. He is gaining context. Instead of just customizing his remarks, Sanjeeb pivoted completely to address the topics that the audience brought forward and spent the rest of the class (4.5 hours) framing his new leader assimilation topic around these specific issues and how these organizational leaders might tackle the issues of concern. Brilliant! The audience was so much more engaged than if the material was delivered without context and focused only on a few key principles.
Lastly, let me comment on Sanjeeb’s multi-dimensional skill set. I have had Sanjeeb deliver skill specific training, organizational change management consulting, continuous improvement culture penetration intervention, root cause analysis awareness training and culture, leadership development programming, and creating an executive coaching clinic. Sanjeeb has also assisted me personally on marketing strategies, improving our web presence, and refining our search engine optimization strategy.
I am grateful that Dr. McAulay introduced me to Sanjeeb. He has, in fact, been a great resource for me and for Collin College!
“I first met Sanjeeb when he presented at Elliott Masie's Learning 2001 conference. He explained his entire presentation, listened to my "work world of eLearning" at Thomson University ---and provided insights, recommendations & advice - all of which led to a promotion.”
“Through the years we've stayed connected as our careers evolved and today I still see Sanjeeb as an amazing leader, problem solver, networker, and industry friend. This is so rare in today's world of online hit and run solutions, companies and careers. Sanjeeb is the "real deal" - he is really that smart, that insightful, that giving of knowledge/time & that loyal. He is one of a kind.”
“I have had the pleasure of having Sanjeeb in my organization for a period of time as well as working alongside him through the years. I have always found him to be a dedicated professional in all aspects of his work and he operates with the highest ethical standards in all that he does.”
“He is highly adaptable to changing situations and deals with ambiguity in a highly effective manner. In fact, I have seen him lead in key business process changes with boldness demonstrating superb leadership and helping others to move forward in a positive manner to assist in the needed changes. He will be a valuable asset to any organization.”
“I have worked with Sanjeeb for close to ten years in my role as the head of Digital Marketing for TI Japan. Sanjeeb, in both roles during those ten years, was the leader from headquarters in the US, coming to Japan to drive significant change.”
Sanjeeb had a very unique way of first taking time to get to know people and understand their perspective. He established relationships across our cultures and would humbly adjust to the local approach of getting work done. He was extremely respectful of people and established a very strong followership among my team and colleagues. He was articulate in his communication and set very clear expectations so that there was no misunderstanding or confusion. When he did get down to implementing the changes, he was very sensitive to how the changes would impact people and ensured it was handled in the most respectful and fair way. He was consistent in his approach whether the change was within the company or impacting our external business partners.
Multiple ex-colleagues have continued to remain in touch with Sanjeeb even after they left the company. This is not common and is a sign of someone who has had a very positive impact on people.
